For all , the player can have an individual level. To grow on a given path, they have to gain experience points. After passing a threshold at the given level, Players grow up a level.
The player levels up by completing tasks and quests related to that skill. For example, you'd go on dates to improve your dating skill. If you're trying to grow physical strength, you'll lift weights.
The number of experience points a player will gain will vary per task. It's possible that a player can earn stats in multiple skills simultaneously. Though that will happen, the task was numerous tasks.
Even as a player is created, they are randomly assigned stats that determine their growth rate in different paths (#birth-stats).

This requires coming up with big-ass spreadsheets.
While players level up with experience points, there's a limit to how much they can level up with experience points alone. As they reach the peak of both the Personal Paths and Career Paths, the player will need to compete with each other to reach the highest levels (such as pro sports, CEO/CLO positions, etc.). The stats the player has at the time of the competition will sway their outcome.
